Mates/Lads FC vs The Tek Republic

First game of the season against our friendly rivals Mates/Lads. Always a terrific game when these two teams go toe to toe. David Lekaj put us ahead with a sensational run and finish which helped cap off a dominant first half. Our opponents held strong and fought back in the second half equalising with a goal of the season contender by Ali. All in all not the result we came for but on the balance of the play we can't really complain.

The Tek Republic 2 vs 2 Parklife Vets

Another draw and to be fair we were the much better team on the evening. We conceded a really sloppy goal to start things off and then after that we started to put it on the opposition. Scoring a screamer through Luke Lonergan and then in the second half Charlie released Alex to score and put us 2-1 ahead. We also earned a penalty which was wonderfully saved by their keeper and then in the dying moments they were able to capitalise and equalise right at the death. A painful one but we regroup and go again.

FC Cech your Tekk 5 vs 3 The Tek Republic

One of the worst team performances in history of The Tek Republic. We were sloppy throughout, misplaced passes, nobody really on the same page, midfield left way too many gaps. It was a shambolic performance. We went 2-0 down and then David Maxy scored to bring it to 2-1 then Alex missed a sitter going into half time that should have made it 2-2. They then scored again but Alex then reduced the deficit back to 3-2 winning the ball off the defender and slotting it home. We then scored again after Alex pressured the defender into making a mistake the ball bounced back up to Alex who cushioned his header beautifully to give David Maxy the assist to make it 3-3 with the momentum on our side. Then we gave away a soft penalty which was debatable they scored and then trying to push for the equaliser they caught us on the counter and scored again to make it 5-3. This was one of those games were we just have to move on because there was nothing good to analyse. No disrespect to our opponents they deserved the victory, no excuses from us.

The Tek Republic 2 vs 2 West Jam

Our best performance of the season by far, the team dug in and went in as massive underdogs against the defending champions. In 9 previous fixtures we have lost all nine so nobody was expecting us to go out there and get anything. We played like a team and took a 2-0 lead through a brace from David Maxy. The champions though didn't lay down and kept plugging away, in the end they were able to reduce the deficit to 2-2 in a thrilling Thursday night fixture.

Quayson FC 5 vs The Tek Republic 1

Our worst performance of the season by far, nothing clicked the only shining light was a spirited performance by Will who ended up getting our only goal of the game. I actually forgot to bring my SD card so wasn't able to take any footage albeit in hindsight that looks like it was a great thing.

The Tek Republic 4 vs Mates/Lads FC 1

Our first win of the season against a team that always give us a good run for our money. Will scoring a hattrick and rightfully getting the man of the match award. Alex grabbing the other as well as an assist. David Maxy also registering his first assist off the season.
